This information is intended to help Albertans make informed decisions about continuing care homes or supportive living accommodation. An accommodation's compliance with the Continuing Care Act, regulations and standards is just one aspect to consider when assessing quality and considering an accommodation. It should not be the only source of information in deciding if an accommodation is right for you or your loved one. For more information, you are encouraged to:

• Visit the accommodation;
• Talk to residents (or their families) who live in the accommodation you are considering;
• Ask the accommodation representative any questions you may have; and
• Refer to other information sources, such as guides to seniors' accommodations.
